Kidnapping is a Radiant Quest in Fallout 4. It is given at random and is repeatable and is also available from owned Settlements. The overall objectives are similar but the locations vary depending on who is in need of help.

You may obtain this quest from either Preston Garvey, listening to Radio Freedom or by coming upon the Settlement on your own.

1. Speak with the settlers at (random settlement location)
2. (Optional) Pay the ransom
3. Rescue the kidnapped settler from (a location)
4. Report back to the settlers at (the settlement)
5. Talk to Preston Garvey

Walkthrough

Travel to the settlement and speak to the settlers. They will explain that one of them has been kidnapped. You can do one of the following:

• Pay the ransom, ending the quest.
• Rescue to the kidnapped settler

If you opt to rescue the settler, go to the enemy encampment and eliminate the threats. Find the captive settler, and escort them out. If the person dies the quest fails. Speak to the settlers and then report to Preston Garvey. You will now gain access to the Workshop of this location.
