NPCs are characters in Fallout 4 who the player will interact with. NPCs are all non-playable characters that players will be able to meet and have different depths and varieties of interactions with. Your interactions with them may affect your relationships and Quests. Interacting with them can provide you with additional interactions, unlock Locations or information, or grant you rewards or additional quests. Types of NPCs in Fallout 4
NPC encounters can trigger different interactions and reap different results. Some characters will offer services or valuable equipment, other interactions are required to progress or begin quests. Other NPCs have the ability to build stronger relationships and may allow you to recruit them to ad them to your group of allies. NPCs can also be hostile considering them Enemies.

NPCs Factions in Fallout 4
Certain NPCs will align with one of the four factions. Each factions have their own unique set of values and beliefs that may conflict with each other. This makes these factions hostile to one another. Forming relationships with certain factions or progressing through the related factions quests may affect your relationships with other factions, and may even turn members of that faction hostile toward you.
