Building Teleporter Guide

Attach wires:
Generator -> Generator -> Generator -> Generator -> Generator -> Console -> Relay Dish -> Beam Emitter
If you're worried about cable management, here's a clean setup :
(All the Generators) -> Power Pylon -> Console -> Relay Dish -> Beam Emitter
Sometimes when you adjust the setup, you will be unable to place the Stabilised Reflector Platform under the Beam Emitter. Try moving the Beam Emitter to an isolated spot, make sure that there is nothing underneath the Beam Emitter (eg. floors, rugs, etc.) store the reflector platform in the workshop then use the menu to place it underneath the beam emitter. You can then hold the place object button to move the Emitter and Platform together back to the desired spot.

The stabilizer platform is the only thing that shows up in the special tab, and when I build it, the quest log isn't uploaded. HELP!

I'm having trouble, After I built the very first objective item the objective wouldn't complete and I couldn't talk to sturges after building it. anyone know of a fix that could help?
- Anonymous
Guys, you need a total of 5 medium generators and one small generator. Small to power the control console, 4 medium to power the emitter, and one medium to power the satellite dish thing. All the generators should be linked together with a wire, then attached the rest of the stuff to that generator. Hope this helps.

I did everything it told me to do but at the signal interceptor its all powered up with the core in the middle of the big thing but its not progressing the quest.
- Anonymous
No matter how many I build or how many times I store it and place it back down it won't let me progress. Can someone please help me
- Anonymous
I had completed building and powering the Signal Interceptor, but the game will not register that I had powered the Molecular Beam Emitter or the Stabilized Reflector Platform. I have 5 medium generators and 1 small generator. Everything is connected with wire and everything is powered. The quest is gliched.
- Anonymous
Figured it out. Just store the beam emitter while the platform thing is still down underneath it and place the beam emitter back down on it. I was *****ing with this thing for a good two hours hope it works for you guys

Generator -> Generator -> Generator -> Generator -> Generator -> Console -> Relay Dish -> Beam Emitter >> store the beam emitter legs in warehouse then replace it and re-wire it, it should then power up again and say quest completed
- Anonymous
I got to where I can build the thing, but the airport terminal is inaccessable and I can't get into the workshop area. Please send help
- Anonymous
I can't seem to find a way to build everything by myself. The components do not appear at the workshop unless I contact one of the factions, but I'm wondering if I do that, then travel to one of my settlements an build it there, would it still be tied to that faction?

Basically the title, i built it in sanctuary, everything is powered up, i talk to dez about the patriot and when she calls for tinker tom either hes not there or he walks away. i hated that mother*****er even before this *****ty bug and now i hate him more. help pls i tried everything like reloading closing the game and this *****.
- Anonymous
I finished the entire structure and everything. It now tells me to speak with Elder Maxson who is locked away in the Warehouse that has an inaccessible terminal and two doors that you can't access. Anyone know a solution for PS4?

i have question where do u find all the parts when u build it yourself? i only have the bas to the teleporter

I want to know what's the difference if I go with either the brotherhood, railroad, or minutemen
- Anonymous
So I have everything built and power going to everything . I have more then enough power and the stabilized reflector platform isn't powering up . I seen videos and it powers up right away and it's not happening for me
- Anonymous
The quest will not progress for me after I built all the components, everything looks powered up and there is plenty of power but the objective won't clear...
- Anonymous
I have folllowed the walkthrough exactly. Everything is arranged as it should be, and the device appears active. But it doesn't register as having been completed, and I am unable to progress the quest. Fffffffff
- Anonymous
Im guessing if I take someone who is associated with one of the factions I will need to choose them to assist me and I don't really want to do that so I was thinking mccready or piper but they aren't the best fighters!
- Anonymous
I completely built the device with the minutemen and it works. But every time I step on the platform it teleports me underneath the institute and I fall endlessly and then die. Anyone help?
- Anonymous
A biometric scanner and a military grade circuit can be found by going back to Virgils cave and shooting the turrets down easily, you're welcome.
- Anonymous
I'm doing this for the brotherhood and built it at the airport. Every time i enter the thing it'll take me to the institue however, there's no actual loading screen (the pic is there), I can move (sort of), there's no floor, walls are missing, items and people falling and I can still talk to people if I can reach them (everything that falls teleports back up then drops again).... This is reall starting to piss me off.
- Anonymous
Note to everyone that might be having the same issue; at least for the BoS spot, remove all the rugs underneath to make them fit together. Spent like an hour trying to figure out why it wouldn't work.
- Anonymous
Seems to power up fine, quest symbol tells me to go onto the device! I walk onto it, it doesn't teleport me anywhere...guess my adventure ends here....

CHECK THE QUESTLOG. (u can scroll down the objectives with right stick). It seems that the nature of this glitch is that the game thinks u didnt built yet one of the parts. That's why you must CHECK QUESTLOG to understand which part u must rebuild or resetup. Another problem could happen if the glitch source is big gate and u didnt have the second chipset to build a new one. And sometimes you cant even backup those ***** gates, but its possible to save him and resetup. Dont forget to link it with cable after resetup. So keep trying.

I was stuck and in spite of building everything with generators, I still couldn't activate the machinery. It turned out I had to connect the generators together AND connect the parts to the generators. Everything worked after that.
- Anonymous
Hey so I have built all of the generator for the relay. I have 30 power(more than enough). I have every

So ive hooked everything up and its on, i even click [A] on one of the objects and my character says "seems to be working." Unfortunately when im told to got check back with the lovely Desdemona, all she keeps repeating is "status report," over and OVER again. >.< plz halp
- Anonymous
You have to get help to START and decipher the plans, afterwards, you can tell everyone to piss off and go about it on your own.
- Anonymous
I'm doing this and all parts are there and I have one large set up and have to build more gens but I can't . Like it wont let me build anything in the power section of the workshop. (On ps4 so no console comands)
- Anonymous
See, what I haven't seen come out of anyone's mouth is that no matter what faction you choose, you HAVE to choose one because you won't be able to decipher the plans on your own. You HAVE to get a faction to help you, otherwise, the special section won't show up in the workshop. Just a little FYI. It just pissed me off because I kept seeing "yeah you can do it yourself!", no, you can't. You have to go through a faction.
- Anonymous
I have everything build in place everything nothing is missing I have all the generators hooked up and everything but it the green marker is still on my stabilized reflector platform and it wont let me continue for *****....there is definitely something wrong with fallout 4 if there are this many god ***** complaints on this one mission
- Anonymous
If you choose to give the chip to a faction other than the BoS, are you locked out of progressing farther in the Brotherhood quests? I just finished Show No Mercy and elder Maxson keeps saying that if I have any info about the Institution I should tell him, but I already gave the chip to the Railroad.
- Anonymous
So i've built the stabilized reflector platform and the power generators (3 large), but the "Build Reflector Platform* task wont be ticked off. Even when i talk to sturges afterwards (i went with the minute men) he just says lets trade some things. It just keeps telling me to "Build the stabilized reflector platform"

I have all the stuff to build the different components but when I go to special in build mode I have no beam emitter? How do I get the beam emitter so I can build this thing?
- Anonymous
Seriously, it's completely broken. It would have been bad enough if it was some optional little side quest somewhere, but the *****ing MAIN QUEST? Seriously? Surely they encountered at least one of all the hundreds of game-breaking bugs in this quest? Come on, Bethesda.

I had no trouble with this mission. I built it a sanctuary hills on the foundation of one of the ruined houses. I built all the pieces and then 3 big generators put a large switched power pole in the center of the 3 components, ran all 3 generators to it and it was powered. Honestly didn't even connect them together and it worked. Hope this helps some of you.... Good luck
- Anonymous
I have everything I need to set it up. Once I did that, it powered on. The emitter is shooting the blue light but it still says in my quest log that it needs to be powered up, even though it clearly is.

For those of you who are having problems with the construction aspect of this mission, please keep in mind that it's all about LOCATION. Where you place the Beam Emitter is VERY important. It's good to take note of your quest summary and see which things have been checked off from the list. If the Beam Emitter isn't checked off, it means the game hasn't recognized it as being built. It can be powered up and shooting out electricity however that doesn't matter as the game hasn't recognized it either way. What you simply need to do is build the Emitter in different spots of your construction area where it lets you build. I found some areas work better than others. Keep trying until it accepts it. NOTE For those who can't get this to power on, you need to learn how to connect these items with cables and use the appropriate power with generators

I having problems with power up everything running and nothing happen and I'm pissed off.

I conpleted building everything then i talk to sturges yo start teleportation but as soon as i step on the platform it makes me talk to sturges again and he sais "he still has a few minor tweaks to work on.
- Anonymous
I have all of the pieces built and generators near them but it doesn't give me an option to put wires on any of the parts for the array
what you can do instead of doing the quest its self, you can install a mod called quest manipulation program and select The molecular level quest from the non-faction main quests tab and select complete. This should teleport you into the institute where you can continue the quest line from there. unfortunately if you are on xbox1 or ps4( maybe, I don't own one so I don't know if this applies) achievements will be disabled. I hope this helps.
