DLC in Fallout 4 features additional content of the game that is not available with the regular edition of the game. DLC usually contains pre-order bonuses, free additional content, paid packs, and game expansions. Fallout 4 has a total of 6 downloadable content packs that came out. Three of these are special packs for building things in settlements. They give you more objects to use when building, instead of having lots of new quests or stories. This page will showcase all of the new DLCs that will drop in the game.
