Walkthrough
The Institute is now ready to reveal themselves to the outside world. You are asked to record a broadcast that is to be transmitted when the reactor is activated. Speak to
Father and record the message in his room.
Travel to
Diamond City Radio and modify the transmitter. You may obtain radio components in a nearby crate. Inserting them into the slots will amplify the power of the transmitter.
Return to
The Institute (Location) and go to Advanced Systems. Open the reactor door and activate the core, and then access the terminal and start the start-up sequence. A directorate meeting is held and you will answer questions posed to you by the heads of the divisions. You will decide where to focus your resources between weapons or on synth production. Completing this quest will trigger the message from
Z1-14 if you've been working with
The Railroad during
Underground Undercover.

AnonymousDon't kill the brotherhood prior to this mission. It bugs it and will not allow you to continue with a certain meeting. I had this problem. After going back to a save 13 hours into the past, before killing the brotherhood, I had no problems getting past this quest (I didn't kill the brotherhood this time around)

When I sit down for the meeting, the mission doesn't continue. I'm not sure what's wrong. I've already beaten the game and this is on a new save. I'm already 15+ hours in. I don't want to lose all of this!! I did kill the entire brotherhood at the airport and the prydwin. Could this be the problem? Should I have never done that? Please help me Bethesda!!

I sit at the meeting everyone hust stares and when i talk to then non have any quest info.... I cant not kill the BOS as this quest line requires you to het the nuclear reactor core where many BOS are shooting you? Help please really *****ed off at this.

Finished all the objectives leading to the directorate meeting. When I take a seat in the chair nothing happens. So what the *****, anyone have ideas?

(spoiler) Im with the railroad and I gotta play house with the institute and my bastard son while the rebel synths train. I hate this makes no strategic sense to help the institute get more powerful and incite fear before mounting a strike, why can't I just duck off and wait it out?? Or horde the reactor juice, or rig it, or something that would've made sense for an infiltrator to do. anyway, does your choices on the recording matter for anything?
