After settling at Sanctuary, Preston Garvey will have some radiant Minutemen Quests for you. After completing them, he will reveal his plans to retake their former home, a fort called The Castle, which has been overrun by Mirelurks Head towards the ruins of the snack shop outsided the Castle in south Boston and meet up with the Minutemen. You will then be asked your opinion on how the attack should proceed. You will have to select from the following options:

Once you have decided on a course of action, advance into the courtyard and eliminate the Mirelurk threats. After dispatching the adults, the Pip-Boy compass will help you located the Mirelurk eggs. This mission might get bugged and make it incompleteable. I think it was because i fast traveled to sanctuary while Preston Garvey fought the mirelirks. Now Preston is stuck in Sanctuary and won't go back to fort independence.

I raided the castle by my own without doing the old guns quest and preston wont give me the mission

even after making the old lady have a drug overdose, he wont give me this quest. just more and more quests to help settlements

I traveled back to sanctuary during the bug and it updated the quest for me and let me finish it. I think you just have to leave the fort and then go back. I was able to finish the quest after this.

I already done this quest, but still, i dont have achievement...

for some reason afterpoewring up the radio the quest never ends. i have to just sit there forever while preston just sits on his smug ass and does not end my quest
ok soo while im here I may as well ask about settlements.. soo here goes is there any way to make a trip wire switch on electric once its been triped? I want to set up some flame turrets but they go off 1x then are useless till u repair them so id like to have them connected to trip wire somehow so that when tripwire is triggered it switches on the flame throwers.. also how can I make the atackers attack me from outside my colony so they gotta cross bridge at sanctuary? or anywhere els for that matter or do they just randomly spawn. I tried changing my fast travel spot to see if that worked but still waiting on an attack to see
