Codsworth is a Companion in Fallout 4.  He is a handy robot that used to serve the Sole Survivor's family but was not allowed entry into the Vault, resulting in him being left alone. Companions are the different characters you will encounter while exploring Locations in the game who you can recruit to join you during the campaign. They have their preferences and character alignment which affects their Affinity Level. Raising their Affinity Level to the maximum will reward players with a unique Companion Perk. Codsworth cannot be romanced.

Now that we've done them a proper turn, let's hope they can return the favor.

Where to Find Codsworth in Fallout 4

Players will find Codsworth at Sanctuary Hills, near the Sole Survivor's house. This is the early part of the game just after the player exits the Vault.

Fallout 4 Codsworth Information

Codsworth is a domestic robot bought by the Sole Survivor's family before the war was announced. At the time, the Vault did not permit Codsworth entry so he was left alone to survive. At first, many will notice that Codsworth is indifferent to being abandoned and he busied himself doing housekeeping work like waxing the floors of a fallout-tainted house, dusting the remnants of a house, and even polishing rusty cars-- all of which were futile work.

Codsworth was all alone for nearly 210 years and he pretended that nothing had happened after he was reunited with the Sole Survivor. However, speaking with Codsworth will reveal how he was affected after being abandoned.
