Broadsider in Fallout 4 is a Ballistic Weapon. Broadsider is a unique heavy weapon that fires explosive cannonballs through an electric trigger taped to the back of the handle. Ballistic Weapons are firearms that usually utilize conventional ammunition to inflict damage on targets. Weapons can be modified using the Weapons Workbench. Players would need to reach Local Leader rank 2 perk to craft a Weapons Workbench at a Settlement, or they can find these workbenches scattered all over the Commonwealth.

- This weapon can be obtained after completing the quest Last Voyage of the U.S.S. Constitution. Siding with the scavengers will make this weapon unobtainable.

- Unlike in the previous games, weapons in Fallout 4 are divided into three groups: normal, legendary, and unique. Normal weapons lack any special attributes. Legendary weapons come with random bonuses and are exclusively obtained from legendary enemies. Unique weapons come with predetermined names and will always retain the same special bonuses they came with. Unique weapons are often acquired through quests or purchased from merchants. While normal and legendary weapons may alter their names when modded, unique weapons maintain their original names.

i find it bad that its no proper way to aim with this weapon but i think they choosed better accuracy instead of sight

Apart from the freezing effect the flamer is better ( once upgraded ), also you have to be a master in lock picking to gain the Cryolator, whereas you can gain a upgraded flamer from a drop during the quest against the forge (note: you will also be rewarded with the Shishkebab.
theres only two cannos in fallout 4 that you can use the first is Deliverer and the second is boradsider
