Fallout 4 X6-88 Romance and Affinity Guide

X6-88 offers a unique companion perk that players can earn upon reaching the maximum affinity level with him. He reacts to the Sole Survivor’s actions and dialogue choices, which will directly affect his affinity. By making sure that you do things in favor of X6-88, you can earn Shield Harmonics which grants +20 Energy Resistance. However, X6-88 cannot be romanced even if you reach maximum affinity with him.

The maximum affinity level is 1000 points and it begins at 0. You will have to work your way up by choosing dialogues or doing actions that will earn his approval. You will see a bubble whenever certain actions or dialogues affect him. X6-88 is a courser from The Institute, naturally, he prefers actions that will benefit his faction and those that further his beliefs and way of life. He likes it when the Sole Survivor is acting selfish or peaceful, and dislikes it when the player is generous, or nice. Aside from that, X6-88 also likes it when you enter power armor, hack terminals, and modify armor and weapons.

His general affinity isn’t particularly aligned in a good/bad way but a mix of both. He dislikes it when the Sole Survivor uses chems, gets addicted to substances, donates items, heals Dogmeat, or gets naked.
