Anonymousguys its a Beacon so they might come to you rather than spawning in?

Everytime i place a beacon down it doesn't spawn any Synths, it just explodes into blue electricity and sits there, i tried taking it to the weapons workbench, but there is no option for it. i have full gun nut. level 4
