Walkthrough
The Mariner will ask you to collect some special power tools to reinforce the damage done to the Hull of
Far Harbor. Head towards the map marker for
Eagle's Cove Tannery. Enter the tannery to find it riddled with ghouls. Dispatch them and head downstairs to find more ghouls including a glowing one who will drop the key to the tannery. Kill them and grab the duffle bag of tools. Exit the tannery using the key to unlock the door in the corner.
Upon exiting to the stairs outside you will be attacked by ghouls, and Machete Mike will come to aid you. He'll engage you in a discussion about the tools you obtained and offer to buy them. If you sell them for 2000 caps the quest will complete but you will fail the objective of helping the Mariner.
If you decline his offer to buy the tools, return to the Mariner in Far Harbor with the tools in tow. Speak to her to complete the quest and receive some caps. This will also check off an objective in the
Living on the Edge quest chain. Eventually, the Mariner will seek your services again in
Hull Breach 2.
